COENG ESS container air conditioners provide air-based thermal management for battery cabinets and containerized battery energy storage systems. The CAC series offers five model-dependent cooling capacities from 2.56 kW to 10.5 kW, with circulating airflow from 600 to 2,150 m³/h.
The range combines air cooling, PTC electric heating and RS485 communication using Modbus RTU. Active dehumidification and micro-positive pressure are optional configurations. For BESS integrators, EPC contractors and importers, model selection should start with equipment heat loss, site conditions and enclosure design.
An energy storage air conditioner helps manage the thermal environment surrounding battery racks and temperature-sensitive equipment. Its practical performance depends on more than the nominal cooling capacity: air must reach the heat-generating equipment, return-air paths must remain clear, and the enclosure must be designed for the intended installation.
Discuss your battery cabinet or ESS container layout with COENG before selecting a unit. Useful inputs include maximum heat loss, outdoor design temperature, required internal temperature, available mounting space and the planned supply and return-air arrangement. Capacity should be selected for those conditions.
The CAC range includes PTC electric heating for projects that require a configured heating function. Active dehumidification is optional and should be specified when humidity management is part of the project requirements.
The source specification lists copper-tube heat exchangers with hydrophilic aluminium fins and a cleanable nylon pre-filter. Confirm access for filter cleaning, condensate drainage and routine maintenance before completing the cabinet design. Heating-power alternatives and optional functions must be confirmed for the selected configuration.
The specified RS485 interface and Modbus RTU protocol provide a basis for planning communication with an EMS, PLC or supervisory controller. Integration requires the model-specific register map, communication settings and supported read/write functions.
Request the relevant communication information during the technical review. This allows your integration team to confirm the monitoring and control scope before commissioning the energy storage cooling unit.
CAC-25ZEDL, CAC-35ZEDL and CAC-50ZED are listed with a single-phase 220V ±10%, 50Hz supply. CAC-80ZE3D and CAC-100ZE3D are listed with a three-phase 380V, 50Hz supply and an N notation in the source table.
The published parameter example is for a self-contained semi-inset design. Confirm the exact mounting arrangement, opening dimensions, installation clearances and wiring requirements for the chosen model before fabricating the enclosure. A 60Hz configuration is not established by the supplied specification.
Share your project conditions, unit quantity and delivery schedule to request a suitable configuration and quotation. Discuss model specifications, electrical requirements, communication documents, packing arrangements and the agreed shipping scope as part of the procurement process.
For importers and EPC buyers, request the documents available for the exact model and destination requirements. Compliance evidence, installation information and packing scope should be confirmed for the order.
Request a Project QuotationSend your heat-load estimate, ambient temperature range, enclosure layout, power supply, communication needs, quantity and destination.

Start with the maximum expected heat loss, site design temperature and required enclosure temperature. Then review enclosure insulation, solar exposure, airflow paths and mounting constraints. The cooling unit must be assessed at the intended operating conditions, using performance information for the selected model.
Energy capacity alone is insufficient. Battery operating rate, losses, equipment layout and site conditions affect the thermal load. Provide an engineering heat-load estimate or the equipment-loss data needed for a review.
The supplied table lists CAC-25ZEDL, CAC-35ZEDL and CAC-50ZED for single-phase 220V ±10%, 50Hz. CAC-80ZE3D and CAC-100ZE3D are listed for three-phase 380V, 50Hz. Confirm the exact wiring and nameplate requirements before installation.
The specification marks active dehumidification as optional. State the required humidity-management function during procurement and confirm the selected configuration, associated electrical load and drainage arrangement.
The range lists RS485 with Modbus RTU. Your team needs the register map, serial settings and supported monitoring or control functions to verify compatibility and prepare the integration.
Request the model drawing, mounting details, enclosure opening dimensions, service clearances, electrical connection information and drain requirements. Confirm that the chosen unit fits the cabinet structure and airflow plan.
Request the exact model specification, installation information, communication documentation, packing information and available compliance evidence relevant to the destination and project. Confirm document availability and shipping scope as part of the quotation.
