Product Description
3000W CNC Fiber Laser Welding Machine for Lithium Battery Modules

COENG supplies a gantry-type CNC fiber laser welding machine engineered for lithium-ion battery module manufacturing. The listed 3000W configuration combines a 1070 nm continuous-wave fiber laser, servo-controlled axes and a galvanometer welding head for programmed welding operations.

With an 800 x 600 mm processing area, a maximum workpiece height of 400 mm and X/Y/Z travel of 800/600/400 mm, this battery module laser welding machine provides defined space for application-specific fixtures. Positioning and repeat positioning accuracy are both specified at ±0.05 mm.

The configuration includes a 1.3MP anti-flash CCD camera, a 19-inch industrial display, multifunctional welding control software, an RS232 interface and a water chiller with dual-temperature, dual-control operation. These details help importers, production-line integrators and battery pack manufacturers assess equipment fit and installation requirements.

Applications and Process Validation

For battery busbar laser welding projects, submit the cell-terminal drawing, busbar material and thickness, joint layout and required cycle time. Material compatibility, weld penetration and production throughput must be established by sample testing and process validation. ESS battery module assembly applications can be reviewed against the module dimensions and joint requirements.

Important: The supplied product range lists 1500–6000 W laser options; this page describes the 3000W configuration. X/Y rapid positioning of 60 m/min and Z positioning of 15 m/min are axis motion specifications, not welding speeds.

Configuration and Quotation Support

Send COENG your module drawings and welding requirements to request a configuration proposal and technical quotation. The selected laser power, optical configuration, fixture, cooling equipment, project requirements and requested scope all affect the final quotation.

For a production-line integration review, provide the station layout, loading and unloading method, module variants, required interfaces, inspection plan, plant utilities and target cycle time. The supplied information does not establish a complete automatic production line.

Frequently Asked Questions
What laser power does this product page describe?

This page describes the listed 3000W, 1070 nm configuration. The supplied range mentions 1500–6000W options; confirm the selected laser source and configuration in the quotation.

Can this machine weld battery busbars?

Busbar welding is an application to assess using the actual cell-terminal design, material grade, coating, joint thickness and quality target. Sample testing is required before confirming a process or production commitment.

Will my battery module fit the machine?

Compare the module and fixture dimensions with the 800 x 600 mm processing area and 400 mm maximum workpiece height. Include clamps, tool approach and loading clearance in the application review.

Is 60 m/min the welding speed?

No. It is the specified X/Y rapid positioning speed. Welding speed and cycle time depend on the joint, laser settings, fixture, weld path and inspection requirements.

What determines the machine price?

The selected laser power, optical configuration, fixture, cooling equipment, project requirements and requested scope affect the quotation. Send drawings and target cycle time for a project-specific price.

What is required for a production-line integration review?

Provide the station layout, loading and unloading method, module variants, required interfaces, inspection plan, plant utilities and target cycle time. The supplied information does not establish a complete automatic production line.

Our project involved sourcing equipment for a university battery research laboratory. We needed a single-station glove box with gas purification, water and oxygen monitoring, and an English-language control interface. Penny coordinated the technical discussions and helped us compare the proposed configuration with the laboratory’s purchasing requirements. We reviewed the 2020 × 850 × 1900 mm overall dimensions for installation planning and checked the transfer chambers against the intended sample sizes. The COENG configuration brought the workspace, monitoring and purification functions together in one equipment package, making it easier to define our procurement scope.

What we appreciate most about the COENG EnerCube 3.0 is its integrated design. Having the batteries, PCS and supporting systems in one container made it easier for our team to review the equipment scope and plan the installation. The model comparison also helped us discuss power and capacity requirements more clearly

The procurement discussions covered more than the battery specifications. Container dimensions, delivery access, unloading responsibilities and commissioning requirements were all important to our project planning. We valued having these points clearly defined before arranging shipment.
